The 7.6-mile race from the 76 Falls Recreation Area on Lake Cumberland to Albany on Saturday, July 4, drew 58 signups, 52 runners who started the race, and 49 who finished at the courthouse square on a very warm morning, race coordinator Dee Soma said.

The Clinton County High School Alumni Band, joined by some current CCHS band mambers, performed just past the finish line at the former Albany City Hall on South Cross Street. Soma said the runners appreciated the musical welcome.

The race was sponsored by Med Center Health, which owns the hospital in Albany.
